Feb 16th Pass Along Tuesday
It's all about Banners today! It all started about a year ago when I decided to participate in Pink Christmas. When my gift arrived I received a beautiful banner to Celebrate the New Year. (which I will show later) This made my mind start thinking that this was something I could diffidently do. So if I can do it, you can do it too. So check out all these cool banners, maybe they can inspire you to put one together.
Here is the Celebrate Banner I received a year ago from Cristin. She does not have a web site but you can check out the pictures and see all the cool detailing she added. I really liked how she put this together by using a soft crinoline, ribbon, paper, 3 dimensional lettering & all the embellishments.

So I gave it a try and this is how my Happy Birthday Banner turned out. I have to say I really enjoyed putting this together and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. My cousin even thought that I bought it, so you know that made me feel good. I will post a tutorial tomorrow on how I put it together. I can't wait to make more!
I love this simple but elegant Christmas Banner. It doesn't have to have all kinds of embellishments to make a statement. Check her site out Here.
This Banner is fabulous! This is from a woman that has an estys shop and she does an amazing job. It you like the look of a banner but just don't want to spend the time putting one together then check out her shop, you can put a whole party together. But if your being a little more adventurist then take a look at what she has and maybe you can come up with your own creation. Check out her shop Here.
This is a Just Married Banner but you could have it say whatever you wanted. Now I know some of you might have looked at the other banners and said no way to much work but this one is very easy to put together. I great project idea for some older children to put together. She also has linked up to some other sites for ideas, you can find the links Here.
I appositely adore this banner, it is just up my alie. I love the way she spaced each one and the fabulous colors that she used. She gives a great tutorial, check it out Here. I am big on having things 3 dimensional so I probably would have just painted the letters instead of tracing them. I just love it!
Now this one is for all you crazy sewers out there. Plus since felt is the new black you'll even love it more. This woman also has a shop so if you love it, buy it. But if you think you could knock on of these out, put our own spin on it and go at it. Check it out Here.
Want something cool and memorable, you need to see what this lady puts together. She is a party planner but that doesn't me you can't plan your own awesome party. She has such amazing ideas but you can do them too. Check out her archives and see all the great parties that she has put together Here.
This is a wonderful Birthday Banner idea, adding twisted crepe paper between the words. This woman sells party packages, which some years I'm all about. But if you want to create one yourself she has alot of great ideas to take a look at. You can see them Here.
Did you ever think you could make a banner out of Burlap? Well now you can, Melinda gives a great tutorial on how to put this one of these together. Check this great idea out Here.
This is just one of the great ideas for banners that this crafty lady found. Check out her site to see a few more ideas also linked to tutorial to spark your creative mind. Find it Here.
I found this Banner under a post entitled Dollars & Sense. You need to scroll down the post to the banner section and she does some comparing on prices with different banners. Can you believe she put this banner together for only $3.50, now that's what I'm talking about. Check it out Here.
I love all these ideas for different banners so I hope maybe one of them can spark your creative mind. For all you cricut users out there, these projects are easy to knock out in one day. Go at it have fun!

Feb 9th Pass Along Tuesday
Here we are with another Tuesday and today it's about Recipes. I know it's a large topic so today I want to high light a few blogs that I think are great to get some ideas from. Please bear with me today, my grandmother passed away last week so my week & weekend were full with getting through this unexpected event. I do have a hand full of sites that you might just want to check out for some fresh ideas for your dinner table.
- Cuisine Nie - Stephanie is an amazing person and has some great recipes that you will defiantly want to try. I have used her Cream Cheese Frosting recipe for some cup cakes and the icing was a big hit. Worth checking out.
- All Recipes - If you haven't checked this site out before, nows the time. This is the real deal, I'm sure you can find any type of recipe you want. I like that the site is very easy to use and there is even an area for recipe exchanging, which I think is pretty cool. I also like that the recipes have a rating system, so you know others have tried it out and say ya or ha. I have tried the Chocolate Mint Cookie Recipe and the kids loved it, defiantly a keeper.
- Recipe Zaar - This site was referred to me by a friend and I love everything about it. You can find just about anything on this site so jump in and find something yummy.
- Lubird Baby - I love her site she has such wonderful ideas plus a few very tasty recipes. I have tried her Shredded Beef Tostadas, which if you like Spanish food this is a recipe for you.
- Picky Palate - I'm sure everyone has heard of this great site and if not you need to take a look. Most of the recipes are her own creations which look so yummy you just can't wait to try. Plus it's for picky people so just about everyone will like whats on her menu.
- Meet Me In The Kitchen - A friend told me about this site so I had to take a look see and I'm glad I did. If you know me I love Banana Bread, so if you can do something different to it, then past it my way. She talks about a recipe she had found for Banana bread with Nutella Swirl, now she made it as muffins and I am dying to try it. Check it out she has a lot of great ideas to share.
- Crock pot 365 - If you love your crock pot then this is the site for you. You apparently can make anything in a crock pot. So if you this sounds like your cup of tea then it's worth you checking out.
- The Children Nest - I came across this site and to my surprise found a great Breakfast Burrito recipe. Tried it and loved it so did the rest of my family. She is a very crafty lady pus has some recipes worth checking.
- Bakerella - Last but not least, one of my favorite dessert sites. I have made her cake pops and they were so much fun plus yummy too. There is something for everybody here, if you want to do something easy or go way out and try something hard. Fun site nonetheless!

Feb 2nd Pass Along Tuesday
Here it is my first Pass Along Tuesday, are you as ready as I am? Well hold on tight and enjoy all the cool ideas! I once heard that a good cook is not someone that follows the recipe exactly but a good cook is someone that puts their own spin on it. So while checking out these ideas you can do them exact or you can up your own spin on them too.
Homemade Valentine's
Since I have 2 girls that love to be crafty, this is an easy way for them to express their creativity.
Check out these cute pencil Valentines. Since felt is all the rage right now, these would be great to handout to classmates and very easy for your little ones to put together.
You can checkout this Valentine and some other easy Valentine's that she has also come up with Here.
This is one of those Valentine ideas that I put my own spin on. I wanted something easy for my girls to put together for their hand out Valentine's. All you do is print out the cool candy wrappers on address labels and have your circuit cut out the hearts and then put your little ones to work. You can get the original idea and link to the candy wrappers Here.
These are the cutest little butterflies I've ever seen. At Skip To My Lou she makes it so easy to put these Valentine's together. Just click on the link and print the butterflies out, it even has the words printed right on it. Just make the slits for the sucker, decorate and put the sucker in. You can check it out Here .
Skip To My Lou has also put this cute flowers together and it is just as easy as the butterfly to do. My oldest daughter made these for her class last year and they were a big hit. Get the flower link Here.
(Here is our version of the Flower Valentine.)
These are quick and easy Valentine's for all ages. Just print, cut, and add names and voila you have a Valentine's Day card! You can get this idea Here.
School Valentine Card Holders
This is my daughters card holder from last year. Very fast and easy to construct, some years that is what you are looking for. We found a fun Valentine pattern of wrapping paper and used a old shoe box and just wrapped it like a gift.
This year my oldest wanted to do something different to hold her Valentine's, so I thought it would be just as easy to decorate a paint tin as it would be a box. All you need is an unused paint can (which can be found in any craft or scrapbook store), 2 pieces of 12X12 coordinating scrapbook paper, some adhesive, and some fun ribbon. I took my daughter down to the store, had her pick out the paper and ribbon she wanted to use and she decorated her awesome looking can.
Don't you just love this beautiful heart garland, it would be the perfect decoration to any Valentine's Day party. Like I said, felt is all the rage this year so just get on the band wagon and put a sting of hearts together. You can get the the instructions Here.
Have you ever seen a bag this cute before. I just love that you buy white 5X8 paper bags and print this color design right out on the bag with any bubble jet printer. Then fill it with a yummy treat for someone special. Check this great idea out Here.
